The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a heatwave alert for Karachi, predicting temperatures could rise to 41°C between April 29 and May 3. Mild heatwave conditions are expected in the southern parts of Pakistan during this period.
Additionally, the PMD has responded to concerns regarding a heat burst phenomenon, which can cause temperatures to spike by as much as 20°C within minutes. Residents are advised to take precautions against the extreme heat.
