Karachi is currently experiencing intense heat, with the 'feels-like' temperature reaching a staggering 45°C. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued warnings regarding mild heatwave conditions expected in southern parts of Pakistan from April 29 to May 3.
In response to rising temperatures, the PMD addressed concerns about heat bursts, which can cause temperatures to spike by 20°C within minutes. Residents are advised to take precautions as the heat intensifies in the coming days.
