Former DBKL senior deputy director Sabudin Mohd Salleh has begun serving a four-year jail term after the Court of Appeal upheld his conviction for accepting RM200,000 in bribes. In addition to his prison sentence, the court imposed a fine of RM1 million for his involvement in corruption.
Sabudin's appeal against the graft charges was unsuccessful, confirming the earlier ruling that found him guilty of abusing his position for personal gain. His case highlights ongoing issues of corruption within public service sectors.
